Proceed to Store EnquireThe Dragon8 sets a new standard in AC motor controller performance and reliability. It is compatible with a wide range of motors – Asynchronous AC Induction and Synchronous Permanent Magnet AC (PMAC) or Brushless DC (BLDC).
Dragon8 has electrical isolation between high power battery/motor wiring and the lower voltage control signals and CANBus. This allows the IO to reference the 12 V (or 24 V) battery and vehicle chassis return path.
The Dragon8 has superior power denity compared with the Sevcon Gen 4 Size 2.

This new range of inverters has a continuous power rating up to 20kW at 700VDC. CAN J1939 communication protocol is standard, with ISOBUS or CANOpen if required.
Sevcon’s High Voltage Low Power (HVLP) inverters provide the ideal solution to driving smaller auxillary motors from a high voltage battery. Air cooled & liquid cooled variants are available in an alloy housing rated to IP6K9K.
